New York is in full swing. Coach ss/15 looks great, I am going to be copying this style asap!
Its a pretty muted pastel pallet isn’t it. Have a look at our high street for items with the same vibe.
Then sling a yellow toned shoulder bag on, like this Tory Burch bag available at theoutnet.com, £206.25.
You asked for a selection of dresses, including a New Years Eve dress and a Christmas Day dress. The only information I have from you is that you wanted to add some ‘va va voom’.
You have the most man attracting figure I have ever seen! You are petite with an hour glass shape and pretty like a doll. You don’t need to add any more oomph! You have it in buckets! If we had more time I would get you to try on lots of different things so that we could get absolutely right your body shape and also get you to consider things you haven’t tried before.
I love seeing you in those very high heels you wear and if you really want to knock the new ‘boyf’ for six then I would wear a short body con dress and lots of smokey eyes and blonde hair…..
What would look really great with these style dresses would be to wear a mannish suit jacket shrugged over your shoulders.
I have seen this amazing skirt…
I think this would be great for Christmas Day. The tweed panel lends itself to be worn with a Wildfox jumper and then pimped up with some serious bling and of course your heels. Equally this skirt would look great dressed up for evening with a silk camisole and leather or fur jacket.
Here are some things I love…
I like these as they are a fashion forward shape, I would team with edgy accessories and maybe studded detail shoe boots.
This is my absolute favourite if you have a black tie event.
From Coast, it is in the sale and only £199. It looks like a classic dress but with the sheer front to add a more youthful look.
Today I am worrying about the Summer Ball that I have to attend on Saturday. I was planning to dress like a middle aged version of Alexa Chung however the Chanel Couture Paris show this week has made me think of a more elegant and grown up look.
They are beautiful images, the models looking elegant but relaxed.
Let’s have a look at what items are available right now for me to channel the Chanel vibe.
Maybe this skirt from Coast at £160, I could tuck in a silk blouse and add a black belt?
This DVF dress is almost half price in the Matches sale £614.
I definitely cannot justifying spending that much even if it is a bargain!
What about this one from Ted Baker? It’s only £199.
Great colour. I can’t believe I have left it to the last minute, typical me!
Check out the fabulous skater skirts and dresses out there. So flattering, they cinch in a waist, skim over your hips, and make your legs look thinner. What’s not to love? It seems the shape is going to be around into next season too, so don’t be afraid to buy!
You could layer up those dresses when the temperature drops.
This pastel blue would look great with a yellow blouse, honest!
This is my favourite, very cute. It wouldn’t work for Autumn but wear it to death right now and bring it out again next Spring.
Scratch that, this one is my favourite…..
Oh I don’t know, they are all great!
I get all excited when I see a ‘New in’ button. And when I clicked it this morning look what I found. That fab Ted Baker skirt. Beautiful print and colour.
A strange choice for me this dress as it seems overtly sexy. However I think the colour is great, play around with belts and consider layering blouses underneath. I left Ted Baker and scanned through Marks and Spencer.
I love that skirt, I hate it with those sandals though!
Wow, very like a Peter Pilotto dress I have seen. Put that straight in the basket!
Equally as fun is trying to find magic pieces in the sale.
What a fab little skirt! This following dress is very cool. But it definitely needs a belt. A dark blue wide weaved belt would be ideal, then I can see this dress working until 2013.
So, which are you tempted to buy?
The bank holiday is here, hooray! What will you be doing with the three day weekend? When I was a child, in the village that my Gran lived, there was a May Day fair and it always had a Maypole that all the children would dance around. In fact come to think of it, I seem to remember learning Maypole dances at primary school. My children have no idea what a Maypole is!
Whatever you have planned for the weekend, take inspiration from the old traditions and follow the new white trend!
Lovely white dresses as seen on the runways of the Spring/Summer 2012 fashion weeks, suitable for any May Queen!
This dress has a dropped waist and has an ethereal feel. Perfect for a weekend away in the sun.
This look is perfect for a day out shopping or a lunch date.
Pretty dress for a night out!
