On my way to the Cinema in Esher yesterday I couldn’t help but notice new season displays in the boutiques windows. I craned my head to see as my children pulled me on to get to the movie in time.
An hour or two later I was happily trying on boots whilst my children’s heads were still buzzing with scenes from Brave.
These Stella McCartney boots £590 from Bernards are eye-catching.
And these Manas boots from Okeefe are great, the higher heeled Trochetto boot is my favourite, £168. The lower heeled Polacco boot is £125 and is great for an everyday run around shoe.
But these were the boots that got my wallet out of my handbag.
Lovely Opening Ceremony Dylan ankle boot. £235 from Bernards.
When you can pick up these bargains.
I love these jeans, great colour for next season, Boss Orange £47.50.

MiH Marrakesh jeans loved by the celebrity set. Sale price £75.
Brighten up this grey summer with these Boss Orange jeans £47.50.

Some days all I do is play with clothes, the beautiful Bianca at Okeefe let me dress her up!
A simple Emu maxi dress (£118) looks great with this Raga shrug (£225) in mustard which happily matches the Anna Pugh bag £110.
Get down to Okeefe Esher before this season’s stock all goes!
The temperatures are rising for us in Surrey this week, my picks of what to wear as it gets warmer from Okeefe Esher.
That time between lunch and school pick up is often spent strolling around window shopping. In the last few years Esher seems to be my destination of choice. It is no surprise to those that read my blog that Okeefe is one of my favourite spots for picking up some absolute gems. These are this weeks hero pieces in my opinion.
I think this is a great smart summer dress for a lunch date. It has been teamed with some conservative accessories here, I would add a touch of neon or animal print.
This is the sort of shirt you always need in your wardrobe. There are so many different ways to wear it. Either as above or buttoned up over a pair of skinnies with some ballet flats, maybe worn over a pair of denim MiH shorts and some Ash high tops.
I love this dress, and it is in the sale! Wear it just as it is or it looks fab over some cropped jeans.
I have just found the perfect shoe to do the school run in. It ticks all the boxes for me. Currently my school run look is Gym kit leggings and sparkly cons. They have that surfy/laid back look that you need to look casual first thing in the morning without having to think much about it. However I spotted some shoes that are going to look great later in the day too with my t-shirt and jersey maxi-skirt.
Yay! Aren’t they fab? They have a touch of neon to catch your eye and yet they are understated and comfortable. They have some amazing colours in the Era collection too.
They are priced around the £40 to £50 mark are available in Office. Here are the clothes I would team them with.
Wear the T-shirt over the top of the skirt and cinch in your waist with a coloured skinny belt. Get the T-shirt and skirt from Okeefe in Esher or on-line.
The good thing about being in one shop for some time is that you have to be more creative about putting a look together. If you are working on a high street or department store you have lots of different retailers to get the piece you have in mind. Sticking to one store means you have to be more flexible and that generally means you come up with the most exciting looks. O’keefe in Esher is a great boutique it came 14th in Drapers 100 most inspiring independent retailers poll. They have a great mix of quirky and more conservative pieces. Here are a couple of photo’s I took this morning whilst playing with the stock and putting different things together.
This collar is one of my favourite things. It is by Stella Forrest (£78) and I think it looks great with many different outfits. I would wear it with a simple grey v-neck sweater. Here I have layered up a vest by Emu at £48 and a Twenty8Twelve top at £135. I love the back of this top as it drapes slightly and has an interesting hemline. In store they had some lovely white 7/8ths jeans by MiH but hilariously I couldn’t work out how to put them on the mannequin!!
It is only a week until Valentines Day and all the stylists are putting up posts on lingerie and first date outfits. I love all that, even though I have been married for 13 years I am not immune. So here are a few of my favourite things for Valentines Day 2012.
I found this red stone pendant when picking up some vintage pieces. It has cute stone hearts on each corner, I liberated it from it’s necklace and attached it to some interesting chains and added a quirky little horse just for fun.
I love everything about this look from Maison Scotch I think it looks romantic and modern all in one.
The jacket is on my wish-list and the fabulous O’keefe store in Esher has it right now, it is priced at £192 and my pendant will look fabulous with this. Team it with some MIH white cropped jeans at £145 (also in store).
If you have a bigger budget than me to splurge on Valentines day, what about this lovely Miu Miu jewellery.
Those lovely O’keefe ladies let me play dress up with one of their mannequins. I bet these sale picks won’t be around for long, so if you live anywhere near Surrey, get yourself down to Esher.
I layered a black slip dress under a taupe slip dress which added interest around the lace edging and teamed with a So Marilyn chunky knit grey jumper sale price £85. You have to love the gold Cambridge Satchel £125 new in this season.
This is a truly amazing bargain, originally £179. I would wear it with black shorts, black tights and brogues. But here I teamed it with a Farhi jumper-dress.
