If I was able to find a last minute holiday to a five star hotel in a quiet region of Ibiza, or something, these are the sale bargains I would be buying!
This Theyksens’ Theory maxi dress is ideal for a romantic night out. It’s a little bit nuts with a cut out at the back of the sheer part of the dress, which just means its easy to funk up a bit. Like with a pair of Dr Marten’s and dark eye make up. A seriously good sale buy at 75% off original price, £141 from £565 at mywardrobe.com.
These beautiful trousers are ideal for a late lunch at said imaginary 5 star hotel, also from mywardrobe.com and also 75% off, 3.1 Phillip Lim £128. Of course they would also look fabulous for breakfast at The Wolsey! With a big pair of round framed sunnies.
Etsy, £16.20! Buy here.
With festival season underway I thought I would take a look at some styles that would work for this summer.
This whole look is from YMC. The only thing I might change would be the brogues for DM’s if the weather remains wet. The Spring coat is brilliant and as with most of the stuff from YMC you could dress it so differently it could work for a long time.
I always wear my hair up if the weather is rainy, it makes it so much easier than dealing with long wet hair sticking to my face. If the weather was to cheer up though this hat would be ideal.
I love the shape of this cap it is very similar to the straw hats seen in the Burberry Spring Summer 2012 campaign.
I would never take expensive sunglasses with me in case they get knocked off and trampled on, but you still want to look good, these Rayban-esque shades from Urban Outfitters are perfect.
Shorts seem to be a festival staple every year, I like these bright shorts from Uniqlo. Roll them up to get the right length for your leg shape.
Love these desert boots by Dr Martens.
Ann Demeulemeester’s Spring/Summer collection is my inspiration today. It just doesn’t seem right to wear our pretty dresses when it is lashing it down out there!
The collection has a hard edge but still uses floaty shapes and sheer fabrics.
I like the gothic feel of this collection but I feel light-headed at the price, so let’s see if I can find a cheaper alternative and just copy the look. Step forward Zara.
Toughen up this dress with these shoes.
Layer up with the asymmetric blouse shown above and below over the top.
I love this sheer maxi dress.
Obviously Dr Martens seem the perfect footwear for this look.
Cool is the news that Agyness Deyn has a collaboration with Dr Martens available in August this year. I am seriously excited to see the shoes hit the shops, being a DM wearer throughout the 1990’s I am going to be trying them back on again later this season.
Agyness says that the 90’s was her inspiration for the collection along with influences from her friend designer Henry Holland. Apparently, we should look forward to seeing tartan jumpsuits and khaki parkas as well as shoes and bags. Roll on August!
Cooler is the fact that these soft boots in a pastel shade can be worn right now in time for summers festivals.
Fancy a floral pattern?
Coolest? Well for me it is either the original boot, or maybe it is the Soho shoe? What do you think?
