Mid Summer Sales

The sales are just starting and I have had a quick look through for some early bargains.

Shoes are always top of my list! The first pair from Kurt Geiger are £129 reduced from £220, the second are of course Charlotte Olympia’s zodiac pumps. With the sale on they are now within my budget, £299. Both available from Selfridges.

The smart sweatpants here are a bargain at £75, from Isabel Marant and you could team them with this long line blazer also Isabel Marant at £200. From matchesfashion.

These two dresses turned my head at netaporter.

The stripe dress from By Malene Birger is reduced to £212 the second dress is from Philosophy at £223.

Green Day

My love of the colour yellow that occurred around February has been overtaken by a love of green. It seems to be a natural progression. I am not sure when exactly it happened but it may be due, in part, to the lovely images from Carolina Herrera SS12 Ready-to-Wear.

My search for the perfect green dress for a ball I am going to this summer is underway. Here are a few hopefuls. What do you think?

Issa dress £490

Marks and Spencer £39.50

Peter Pilotto £950

I love the Peter Pilotto dress but I suspect that may be too much a splurge for me. The Marks and Spencer dress is definitely not fit for a ball, but I probably will get it for my summer holiday. The Issa dress is great, but 500 notes? hmm. In this economic climate I have to be sure.

MaxMara £295

Much better! Ok you have to use your imagination a little as it is a very dull photo.

Whistles £150

I love this, it has that eye pop of green and I think this is probably the one I will go for. Those fab Charlotte Olympia shoes I blogged about the other day are ideal.

Good Charlotte you can Whistle

Charlotte Olympia Dellal, I am loving your work. I have to wait for this years bonus to clear though before I can buy one of your creations! Here are my favourites right now!

All of my choices hit the £565-£625 price range, and I have chosen all the shoes with green in them as it seems my colour of the moment.

Here are the Whistles clothes I would like to be wearing any of the above with…..

Maxi Skirt £95

Maxi dress £95

Pleated skirt £110

Enough with the smoochy stuff already

Here is the latest on my fashion radar. Sophia Kokosalaki. Her ethical Kore collection is about to launch on Asos.com. Sophia is a Greek born Central St Martins graduate. With this collection she is working with Sri-Lankan lace-makers giving them fair pay and ensuring the traditions of their craft are preserved.

This is such a pretty dress and really versatile, I would add either a neon belt or pastel belt and wedges for a different feel.

This would look really great right now with some tights, chelsea boots and a fedora hat.

I would make this dress ‘all Audrey’ by putting on some Charlotte Olympia kitty flats.
