I like a new motif, and this much misunderstood creature is the latest muse for the fashion retailers.
I love these two from Aubin & Wills, the Portland jumper is £125 and the Bolingbroke tee is £35. Wear either tucked into your pencil skirt or with a pair of black skinnies and high heeled ankle boots.
This sheer blouse is really pretty and you could wear it from the office to bar. Yumi fox print blouse at Oliver Bonas £32.
Ok, a bit too much for me, but on a cold autumn morning you could pull on this fox beanie, £17 from Accessorize.
Here is my favourite……
Alex Monroe‘s fox bracelet, the fox is gold plated and the chain is silver. £135.
Aubin & Wills
Sale Daisybank dress £95
Just-in Irby dress £145.
Sale Whipton dress £110.
Just-in Cleobury dress £125.
….buy the classic items you will always need whilst the sales are on.
Let’s face it, we are always going to need a trench coat in our wardrobes.
These boots are great, in fact I saw Alexa Chung wearing something similar in New York recently. They are a great colour that works for Summer or Autumn.
A simple blazer can go with everything, from denim shorts and a tour tee to your evening dress and heels.
I always advise you spend your sale money on the items you covet but can’t easily afford at full price. In this case I am thinking about high-end jean brands. Do think about the longevity of a shape or colour though before you buy. Here are a few idea’s for you.
When buying print in the sale I recommend steering away from the obvious Spring florals and look for patterns that lend themselves to Autumn dressing but are subtle enough to work for next Spring too.
Just have a look at these jeans I found in the Donna Ida sale, amazing bargain and there is always a need for a skinny blue jean in your closet!
Good luck ladies, go shop.
Aubin & Wills have some great clobber in the Selfridges store at the moment. It is no secret that I love their preppy-urban look, but today I think they had next weeks Boat Race in mind when stocking the shelves. And I was loving it!
I know it is only the beginning of April and those legs may get a bit chilly whilst standing by the riverside between Mortlake and Putney. Get a pair of opaques on, plain black or patterned if you dare. And wrap around a fab scarf.
Make like Alexa Chung and shrug your Mac on over your shoulders.
I love Aubin & Wills, they have a great style that feels both preppy and urban. It was set up by Jack Wills in 2008 to cater for the “25-35 aged customer looking for effortlessly-cool clothing”. I think it hits the brief.
I know it’s yellow again, but I can’t help it!
I especially love their blazers and jackets. Really well priced considering the great quality and, at the moment at least, not everybody else is wearing them.
Since seeing the Jimmy Choo Justine-L bag my eye has been caught by all things yellow. Here are a few of my favourite eye-spies….
I would team any of these little beauties with a fab trench for this transitional stage.
And desert boots perhaps?
